DaimlerChrysler Jeep CJ7, etc.

Okay, I was reviewing the site LETYOURCOMPASSGUIDEYOU.com, specifically in the /usr directory. Most of the subdirectories under the /usr directory are forbidden to access. Of course, if you click on the ahanso/ directory, it takes you to TheHansoFoundation.org, which, according to a Netcraft query, is an alias to LetYourCompassGuideYou.com, or it may be the other way around. Anyhow, in the /usr directory, there are two other subdirectories that are particularly interesting. One is the hmcintyr/ directory and the other is the pthompso/ directory. Both of these let you in to browse the files, sort of. Each of them has a mail/ subdirectory. In /usr/hmcintyr/mail, there is a link to CJ7_HATCH.MOV which is actually a flash movie contained at YouTube.com. The curious thing about this movie is that it is about the old CJ7 and there is a message at the bottom stating that Jeep is a registered trademark of DaimlerChrysler, which it is. However, when the CJ7 was produced, Jeep was part of American Motors, not Chrysler, and definitely not DaimlerChrysler.

In company of this CJ7 movie, are other Lost-esque films, such as interviews with the "author" of _Bad Twin_. I'll have to get into these things a bit more and try to learn more stuff.

In continuing with the DaimlerChrysler vane, I did a Netcraft search on LetYourCompassGuideYou.com and found that it is actually owned by DaimlerChrysler. It has the same IP address as TheHansoFoundation.org. Also, the nameserver organization for both sites is the same. However, with the case of TheHansoFoundation.org, the organization is actually listed as the Hanso Foundation, not DaimlerChrysler as it is with the Compass website. It is also interesting to note that Jeep is introducing a new model called the Compass.

In the mail/ directories of both users accessible through /usr, there are several scanned documents to and from DaimlerChrysler regarding the purchase of a total of 23 (yep, there it is) Jeep models, including several Jeep Compasses. One scanned document is a letter from DaimlerChrysler indicating that because of certain events that have taken place on _______, that they will be rescinding the contract for Jeep vehicles.

Thank you and namaste.

Two For The Road

Oh my, oh my. What a season this is turning out to be. First the Others, then the Tailies, now some form of betrayal. Or is it just brainwashing? How can you be certain of anything?

Well, I must say that there certainly was a lot of shouting at the TV after this one. It seems we have a number of fairly shady characters on the Island and it would appear that Michael (Harold Perrineau) is one of them. After frantically running off into the jungle in search of his boy, Walt, Michael has been absent for a good portion of the season. We all had figured he was being held by the Others somewhere on the Island, but the question never arose, what with all that has been going on with the Hatch and the main group of survivors.

This episode also featured some interesting background information into Ana-Lucia Cortez (Michelle Rodriguez). For instance, it seems that Sawyer (Josh Holloway) was not the only one to have contact with Jack's dad while he was in Australia. :) Hmmmm. Some shady stuff going on there, too. Jack's dad seems to be playing a much more central role in all of this than anyone imagined.

Anyhow, I just had a whole bunch of "What the heck?" questions when this episode finished. It was definitely interesting.
